I’m  obsessed with
automotive photography
 
Hi there – I am Quentin Martinez, a french freelance photographer specializing in automotive photography.
Though I am based in Paris,  i love travelling the world to capture the most amazing cars in the most amazing places.
Passionate about art and design, I studied automotive design in Paris for several years and  also participated in an artbook project as a concept artist.  Thanks to those experiences, I understand how volumes work in space and how to enhance them. I have sharpened my eye through design and I can now use it in my photographic work.
Photography is about getting up (too) early, driving hundreds of kilometers to get to the location, getting wet in the rain to capture the perfect moment... It is about all of that and even more, but for me it's mainly about sharing emotions.
Cars have characters and personalities, and in order to transmit the mood and emotions they evoke in us, I play with light, reflections and movement. My subjects are mainly car related but being very curious, I like to explore different fields, like architecture, urbex, boats or airplanes, which extends my sources of inspiration.  All of my work tends to revolve around atmosphere, whether it’s in workshops, road trips, or events. I'm always trying to find something new and different so that my pictures are unique, according to the needs of the project.
Succeeding in creating powerful images adapting myself to the constraints of real life is a very satisfying challenge to do.
