coligny car museum
The small French village of Coligny, with a population of less than 1,300, is home to one of France's finest private collections open to the public. The place reminds me of a jewel chest, very sober and discreet, highlighting the variety of cars as there are no barriers or obstacles to ruin the view. Although more oriented towards “modern” cars, there are a few classics on display, such as the indispensable F40, or the Porsche 906k, winner chassis of the 24h of Daytona. You might think you're going to see yet another collection of supercars, but not at all. What's really appreciated is that these are mainly special editions or rare models in France, such as the Ford GT, the Alfa Romeo 8C Spider, the Venturi 400 GT Trophy or the Mclaren 650s LM, to name only a few. Another little surprise: a Formula 1! Based on a genuine replacement chassis from the 2011 season. It's a real pleasure to be able to get up close, walk around the cars and take photos without any barriers. It's a real feeling of being in a special place. Enthusiasts and neophytes alike will enjoy visiting this unique collection.
