Les Grandes Marques du Monde à Paris // BONHAMS 2025
From the moment it was inaugurated for the Universal Exhibition 125 years ago, this monument of stone, glass and metal was a symbol of modernity and innovation. In this spirit, it hosted the Paris Motor Show from 1901 to 1961, embodying the excellence of technical progress of its time. After 5 years of restoration, the Grand Palais is opening its doors to celebrate the 10th anniversary of this Parisian auction organised by Bonhams, once again honouring the automobile and all that it represents in terms of craftsmanship and excellence. As well as having a rich history, it offers a special setting for photographers. Thanks to its large nave, the cars are showcased in a unique way. The almost liquid reflections of this environment on the bodywork in its original condition is a real treat for the eyes. This offers a new dimension for enjoying these works of art in their static state.
